Zurich Marine Specialty offers broad programs and specialized products which cater to diverse boating lifestyles.
Types of Coverage
These specialized policies offer important coverages designed specifically for boats over 26 feet in length. Features include:
Hull Damage - Pays for damage to your boats, sails, motors and/or other related equipment, including damage caused by launching or hauling, fire, lightning, explosion and striking underwater objects. Pays the agreed value (the amount the boat is insured for) of a stolen boat if it cannot be recovered. The policy also includes coverage for salvage costs.
Protection & Indemnity - Protects your assets when you or someone who borrows your boat causes damages, injuries or death while using the boat. It also covers fuel spill liability, wreck removal, and claim or lawsuit defense expenses. The Master Mariner policy also includes coverage for injuries caused by uninsured boaters as well as limited crew coverage.
Medical Payments - Covers up to $10,000 worth of incidental medical care for you, your guests and family as needed as a result of incidents that occur while on, boarding or leaving the boat. Higher limits of coverage are also available.
Towing and Assistance - Pays for $500 worth of commercial towing and assistance. Higher limits of coverage are also available.
Tenders and Dinghies - Coverage is available on an unscheduled or scheduled basis, on both a stated value or agreed value basis.
Personal Effects - Pays for up to $2,500 of damage to personal property that belongs to you or your guests. Higher limits of coverage are also available.
